My expectations from iPhone 12
I have been using Samsung`s note 9 for quite some time now. In Jan 2019 my wife went to Dubai from India and bought a dazzling blue Note 9 for me. it has been my daily driver for almost all my tech-related work. It is really performing well even in late 2020. I am getting a decent amount of updates, it has a decent camera and also the S-pen feature is unique and helps me a lot in my Webex meetings when I want to draw or denote anything by writing on a screen. But my wife broke her phone a few days back (Samsung Note 8: yes we are “note series” fanboys) and now we are in need of a new phone. I have already explored the current market and have realized there are plenty of options available. few good options available are the phones from Samsung `s20 series and Samsung`s Note 20 series. We also have noticed the good ingredients in One plus 8 series. But like every other guy out, I`m also excited about the new iPhone event. I was disappointed last month when Apple came on stage with no new iPhones. nevertheless, it looks cent percent confirmed that there will iPhones fairing on stage on the 13th of October.
I`m mostly an average tech user and not much into gaming. so most of my expectations are will be on the basis of my daily usage. Now also note that my age is 29 years and I`m a full-time consultant in a tech company. I feel your usage of any product depends on which age group you belong to and what is the nature of your work as well. I have also noticed that gender plays an important role while choosing the tech of choice. I will not get into stats like A14 bionic chip, blah blah megapixel camera telephoto, GPU something elsePU. Here is what I want the new iPhone shall have without any specs and all what I want
Camera-
So one of the biggest reason for update of to find a better camera phone. I have recently developed a hobby of videography. I also click pictures in my free times
Here is one the pic I took on my note 9.
I expect best in class night camera mode in new iphone. It shall have the best video making camera as well. Now how do we quantify a best camera in class?
Well it’s simple. It shall have the wide angle lens to shoot a good vlog. I am also expecting a depth of field bookeh effects in video mode to make it look even more professional.
I also would want a better auto focus feature. Last but not the least my the internal microphone shall be enough to make content. Not mentioning other features in camera segment as the iPhone 11 camera was decent there.
Siri-
Hey Siri, pleas schedule an email send to John at 12 AM tonight.
Hey Siri. Send reminder SMS to paul at 1 AM (while I’m asleep) to send me the presentation.
I’m talking about the scheduled based tasks. Right now siri has a very limited scope of help it can extend.
Performance
Expecting a 5g internet capability with 120hz display speed. I feel this will be a huge update and also having a 120hz display takes the experience yo another level.
Design-
No comments, apple is the best in this area but would be happy to see a smaller notch.
Price
Not more than $700, the starting model.
Models-
Apple please don’t give us too many choices, we are already confused and we used to love the one or two phones an year strategy.
With this said I would also like to state that I’m quite new to medium and have just started writing here. Kindly ignore my trivial mistakes.
